My camper got totaled due to a hail storm. It was 31' and 6500lbs loaded.

The new TT is 34' and will weigh about 7600lbs loaded. The tow vehicle is a 2011 Chevy 2500hd with the 6.0L and 3.73 rear. Tell me the setup will be fine for my trip to Colorado and that handling the extra three feet of camper is no big deal. Thanks.

Set up the WD hitch right, and use some sort of sway control.

Don't worry, you look like you are good to go as long as the TV is in good shape..

You will not notice the extra 3 ft traveling down the road.

Thanks!

With your rig, it is all about the hitch. get a quality WD hitch and enjoy your trip.

Thanks. I'm hoping to hear some positive feedback from others with similar rigs.

No worries unless you are the squeamish type going up and down hills.

I suggest that you go over to the fifth wheel section and look around. There are a TON of 6.0 towers pulling fairly large fivers. Lots and Lots of positive feedback on that gasser.

Thanks!

My tow vehicle specs are in sig below. My fiver scaled is 11,800 loaded. My 6.0 gasser does a great job but does work oh mountain hills. It helps that I have 4:10 axle. As long as you stay below 10k with your 3:73 axle, you will be fine. The engine will work on the hills, but don't be afraid to let it run in the 4,000, rpm range. The engine has its best power in that range.

First real trip with my 6.0L/6-spd/3.73. Love it! While my loaded weight is about 6500 pounds, it does well. I use tow/haul mode and M5. You should be good with your setup.
