Hello all,
Has anyone stayed at Wilson's Riverfront RV Park in Asheville, NC? We are going to run the 80 miles down the 40 and do the Biltmore, arborateum and Chimney Rock and thought this would be a good stepping off point.

NOPE! I believe we stayed at an RV park called Bear Creek. It was real close to the Biltmore.

We were just there and stayed at Bear Creek RV--nice place. We didn't do the Biltmore due to the high pricing and short on time. Enjoy--beautiful area.

We are going to Ashville in September. We are staying at Lake Powhatan which is about 15 miles southwest of the Biltmore Estate.

Great place to park while seeing the sites around Ashville.

No ammenities at the park, but if you just need a nice parking lot this works well.

Lot's of bugs from the French Broad. I had to change a generator starter motor at night there and the bugs just about smoothered me.

The Fiddling Pig was a great place to listen to blue grass music and eat bar-b-que.

rex,
Thanks. We live at the 40/81 split and are going to head down for 3 or 4 days. It sounds like Wilson's will work since we are PA, that makes them cheap, and we only plan to eat and sleep at the RV park.

If you get a chance, check out 12 Bones Smokehouse 5 Rverside Dr. Asheville NC 28801. If you leave hungry, its your own fault. Website here
