When I first pull out from a campsite, My wheels/brakes sometimes squeak for the first half mile or less. Especially when going really slow like in the campground. It never does it when when first pulling out from home, only after camping.

The brakes were checked in the spring, work great and are silent at all other times. It's not every time either, maybe 50-60% of the time

The funny thing is, I used to have the same issue with my old popup too. The only thing I can think of is since we usually leave campgrounds in the AM, maybe it has something to do with morning air?

Anyone else experience this?

Caused by rust and dirt buildup on the drums. Dont worry about it.

Rust that forms while it sits. It's actually a sign of good quality hard steel.

Thanks everyone! I just wondered why it doesn't do it after sitting when leaving home, but does after leaving a campground.

I believe you nailed it yourself. It's the dampness of the morning air. after a mile or so, everything dryes out.
