manley, I'm a 43 year old current student too! Are you saying I can get the lifetime for $149? I know very little about the discounts. If they apply to State and Federal Parks, then I will do it for sure!

Doesn't apply to fed/state parks.Just private campgrounds. We use the links on the GS site for a lot of our online shopping. Most give 10% discount or free shipping.

I think you have to be a member already to get the $149 deal.

I never have purchased a lifetime membership, i have just gotten good deals for three year ones at a time. ALWAYS get my money back on camping discounts alone. One full week of camping, its paid for itself and some change. And I do far more than one week a year.

I am not aware it is good at any other stores. I figured just CW.
Even so, with just the CW discount and CG's (mostly I use it for the CG discount though) it pays for itself.
I avoid any lifetime memberships of anything, as you never know what changes might take place and you would rather not have it, or its no longer useful.

Ditto.
While I work for a public safety organization, I am excluded from their $149 offer, so I decided not to join. Since the bulk of what I would get out of it is the Camping World discounts, it would take me 15 years to break even on the $299 membership.
That's even assuming that I keep shopping at Camping World, since they are currently failing to live up to their promises regarding the purchase of my new camper from them and I'm starting to explore alternatives for my supplies. Why give my money to people who hold their customers in such obvious disregard?

Yep. You have to be a member, have to be logged in, and have to provide proof that you are currently a student. Good luck!
