While wintering with a friend, he spends most of one day a week on the smoker doing all sorts of meats enough he says to last a week. I'll have to say, all is good.

As you can see it works well. Wrap in aluminum foil to reheat over the fire or better yet use the nuke'em method. Smoked meats stand up better to freezing IMO.

Freezing is fine, but I would only recommend re-heating in the oven.

Pulled pork my dry out a bit but all you have to do is add a little apple juice mixed with alittle of your favorite rub while reheating and you'd never know it was frozen

Get a Seal-A-Meal and vacuum pack 'em. It's great to have that freshly grilled taste later in the week/month/year. I always cook extra chicken to refreeze. Makes great chicken salads and chicken pastas.

X2
Freezing in the FoodSaver bags, you can reheat by dropping the bags in boiling water. This way you can't overheat or dry out the meats. Works especially well on pulled pork or ribs. BBQ done this way tastes as good or better as leftovers.
Just be sure not to get the cheap-o bags. They need to hold up to the boiling process.
And if you're going to eat the leftovers in just a few days, just seal in and store in the fridge. No need to freeze.
