Can anyone recommend a ladder rack that bolts or clamps on? I don't want anything that I need to drill. We want to carry our kayaks on the Ram. I haven't ruled our something like a Yakima on the crew cab, but I don't have any tow hooks in the front - go figure, I guess Ram cut some costs there. So securing the kayaks in the front isn't an option and I was thinking that a ladder rack might be better. Thank you

Actually the buyer cut costs, tow hooks are a option on most trucks
If height isn't a problem I've seen lots of TT with them strapped to the roof of RV.

I'd do a yakima or equal rack on the roof of the truck. Then last I checked, if your truck had an option for tow hooks, you can get the hooks for $50-100 and 4 bolts later they are installed! Probably the simplest way to do things.

This one clamps onto the bed rails with no drilling required.

Home depot sells a set very simular for about 300 bucks. I used this last summer and put some foam over it, then secured the kayaks to that.

However if I had the money to do it over again I would buy a thule or yakima rack and purchase a Kayak holder designed for just that purpose. I took one trip last year where my cam-lock straps kept having to be tightened. If it rained the foam would compress more and losen up the straps. Got old pretty fast as you dont want to over tighten your Kayak and de-form it.
