I finally got around to replacing the terrible "executive 7000" radio. I got the mount from mito corp. who origionally made the radio and the JVC from wal mart. the difference is amazing. I will hold out on replacing the speakers since it sounds so good now

Nice upgrade. I have considered this as well but never use the radio and didn't do it.

x2 - have almost same thing here in my off-road POPUP.. Great sounds...
mine is setup with the front to back seat fader switch being used to have speakers on the inside or faded to outside speakers in the patio area. Both sound great with the automotive type AM/FM radio.

I did have to do a mod to the switching on/off of the AM/FM radio. They had both 12VDC leads tied together to the ON-OFF button 12VDC lead and everytime you turned off the radio you would lose all of the pre-sets. I added a nice lever switch from Radio Shack to replace the "ignition key" 12VDC lead and now all of my pre-sets are active now. I always turn off the radio with Radio Shack installed switch. This of course is a small drain on the battery with the radio memory still on but very small probably less than the gas detectors pull..

My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

Would a crappy radio tell you where to find crappies? If so, I need to get me a walleye radio.
