so bought a vortec II fan and finally installed it tonight and it does not work on medium or low on the forward position of the knob.
Will have to phone tomorrow during the day to see what can be done about this.

So here is the responce, looks like they want it done as quick as possible, so that is good.
But I do still want to buy another and install it, as it looks to be a good idea.
"I am sorry to hear of the issues you have encountered.

Okay, time for an update, after finding out that they could not send me return labels up to me in Canada, and that they would have to send them to the US address of my buddy, then he could put them on and send it back to them for me.
So I asked could I not just return it to their Burlington store, and she said she did not know, I would have to contact the store, so after all the e-mails and such back and forth I called Burlington, the woman there by the name of Janet said, "sure, bring it on down."
so gave my buddy that has a place in Whatcom Meadows the fan and paperwork and a copy of the e-mails I had and they swapped it out for me and even gave me a gift card for the price difference, as it was now cheaper than before.
so needless to say I was thrilled, and I gave the gift card to my buddy for all the trouble he has gone through in picking things up for me over the last while.
So hope to install the fan tomorrow, but must say this one seems in much better shape than the other one, so I must have just got one of those made on a Monday or Friday type fans.
So as long as all goes well, it will be in tomorrow and in one week I will be off for two weeks to give it a whirl.
I'm glad that everything worked out, and I'm sorry for the extra runaround. I will find out why we couldn't pick up in Canada, and work on a solution for you guys.
Well I am happy now, so will install it tonight I hope and hope it works.
At least I was able to get it before my holidays next week.
Thanks for your attention to the matters being brought up here.
Bill
Well installed the fan, it was a tight fit on mine due to the rubber and sealer that was inside the hole from when they manufactured the unit, but it works really well, moves the air a lot better than the old small factory fan, plus the bonus of forward and reverse and the different speeds also I like.
We will be taking off in one week for a two week trip, so it will be a good chance to see how it goes.
