In 1983, I retrieved a very old Class A from a private garage in Miami. This was at the request of an Oldsmobile dealer in Ohio, through the company where I was employed at the time. It was hauled to Ohio and he was going to use it at his Oldamobile dealer.
I don't recall the name, but I can describe some of its details.
It was very aerodynamic with a sloped back end. It was about 25' long and I could stand up inside so it had about 6' clearance inside. It was powered by a flathead Ford V-8 and it was front wheel drive with a manual transmission. Quite the set up for its time. It looked to have been made with aluminum skin, though it was very dirty at the time we pulled it out of the garage. It had sat for 25+ years and the interior woodwork was deteriorated, though you could tell it was constructed by craftsmen of high quality materials. It was equiped with air brakes; I know this because in large print across the rear of the rig it said "CAUTION: AIR BRAKES".
Anyway, I never heard from the gentleman in Ohio that bought it and I always wondered what it looks like today.
Has anyone seen this or know anything about an oldie like this?

If you have the VIN# and a friend in the DMV or law enforcement, perhaps they would run it for you. The reason I say 'friend' is I think due to privacy regs they aren't supposed to do this. I have a couple friends who in years past have done this for me as a favor. Worth a shot. Gary
I would try the HAMB website. It is a very large website, about hot rods and old vehicles in general. Every day people are trying to find information on old lost custom cars. You would be amazed at what gets found on that site. Lots of eyes around the world, Stolen cars and trucks are often recovered, because of someone on that site spotting it. Someone posted a picture of an antique, one of a kind MH just last week, and got a ton of information about it. If it still exsist, someone will know.
