We are headed to Stone Mountain state park this afternoon for 4 days. I will report back upon arrival. I know this park has lots of hiking and beautiful waterfalls.

I was there in the '90's. Very nice. There are many things to do and see around there too.

Tick plague in the Southeast this summer because of all the rain. Take plenty of bug spray. Have a gooder. Of all the bodies of water we love waterfalls, rivers, creeks, and mountain lakes the best.

We are back and man what a nice place. It is for the outdoor family only. There are tons of nice hiking trails and creeks. The creek that runs behind the campsites is big enough to take a dip in and cool down. There is also some nice trout fishing. My favorite things were the waterfalls a d watching the deer. If you want to swim the Widows Creek water fall is the best, it has three levels a lower pool, a middle section with a natural slide and the upper falls with a pool and a big slide. Again I would recommend this park. Just an FYI site numbers 55 and 56 are the best in my opinion. I will post photos later.
