I think one of the biggest comforts of a MH is the size of the fuel tank. Now granted filling it up is a bit of a sticker shock but still not having to look for fuel every 100 to 150 miles like I did with my pickup and TT is a real blessing.

On this trip, I filled up in Kingman, AZ and refilled in Wells, NV. Than the next stop was in Lebanon, OR. Only 3 fuel stops from Tucson to the OR coast is pure heaven.

Yes nice that the DP has a 100 gal tank but my old 08 Ford gasser only had a 45 so this is only a diesel advantage. I like hanging out with the truckers at the truck stop fill ups, they are nicer that the guys at the gas lanes.

You can make those tears a bit less, when buying gas in Virgina or South Carolina & OK had gas a bit cheaper when we were out there the other week.

Actually the total fuel was closer to 198 gallons at an ~avg of $3.80

Less the my truck would have used on the same trip pulling the TT.

We have a 200 gal tank in our "Monaco" and can comfortably do around 1100 to 1200 miles between fills.

As "Rich D" knows, I don't think there are any units that can beat the "Bluebirds" and their 300 gal tanks.

My pickup with 98-gallon aux tank gives my 130+ gallons. It's comforting to be able to concentrate on the scenery and forget the fuel gauge for a thousand miles or more. Sure, a fill-up is expensive, but it's part of the trip budget. We're leaving for Alaska on June 26, and I'm budgeting $5,000 for diesel. (Forgive a fiver from posting on a Class A thread, but I think that it's about the pleasure having a large fuel supply.)

I like this MapQuest site for finding fuel prices on a map. At 100+ gallons it often saves me $10-20 on a fillup.
RoyF depending on how you are going up, fuel in Alberta is less expensive than BC by 20 cents/liter. $5K is for the round trip so not that bad. The WalMart in Whitehorse has fuel and free dump and water.

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.
