Here's a post of under 40 words but still there seems to be not enough stamina to be able to type the full word for GS. Do they mean Girl Scout? Maybe Grand Slam? I think not. Should we all know what they mean? What about a newbee who doesn't know a FW from a TT. Or maybe I'm just a COF..... ..
Right on the money sir. Americans are turning into a nation of illiterates because of all the texting abbreviations or perhaps they're just plain lazy now days. No offense to the OP, just ranting.

LOL point taken but I would think a reasonable person in a thread called Good Sam would be able to figure it out, good mental exercise!

So far we have 3 definitions of COF. That surely will clear up any misunderstandings.

For some strange reason that I don't understand why; I've always had a strong dislike for Good Sam mascot. I have nothing against Good Sam as an organization, it just that the chubby guy with a halo, creeps me out.

I kinda like the little guy - cute and laid back. He reminds me of Mr. Cunningham of Happy Days.

Can you still log on to the website and check the appropriate boxes on your profile. I did it and it worked for me. Now, it takes a while for it to stop. It is almost like they have the stuff scheduled to go out several months ahead of time and they have to send you all of the junk mail they have in your "que" before it can stop.
It took approximately 2-3 weeks after I opted out on-line for it to almost stop. Now I only get a piece or two every other month as opposed to something nearly every week.

ScottG wrote: Americans are turning into a nation of illiterates because of all the texting abbreviations Uh huh. I'm pretty sure the evils of texting have absolutely nothing to do with any lazy grammar and spelling problems on this board.
No one is going to start spelling out every abbreviation to placate someone ( a senior no less) who would rather spend his time criticizing others than simply learning a few acronyms. Should we be spelling out 5er, TT, and MH too?
Junk mail is the only thing keeping the USPS (oops) alive.
