I just had to replace mine last week. I had the exact same problem and nothing wrong with the fridge itself. The teck at my dealership told me he has replaced tons of these. He swapped mine out with a used one from annother MH he had on the lot just to get me going again at no charge.

I called Norcold asking about a new one, and was told only the dealer could get one for me. At a cost I'm sure. Also was told that they hadn't upgraded the box since mine was installed, and I know for a fact they have !!

The recall has a lifetime warranty. There is NO cost to the customer as Norcold will reimburse. YOU NEVER INSTALL ANOTHER USED KIT IN PLACE LIKE YOUR DEALER DID. YOU ALWAYS INSTALL A NEW KIT. The odds are all he did was swap the black box. Norcold wants BOTH the Black relay and the Thermocoupler replaced as a unit. Rev E is the cuurent revision. Doug

Thanks Doug that's good to know. The dealer did just swap out the box but I cant blame him for that, as he was just trying to do me a favor.

We were all packed up and ready to head out for the weekend when it quit. I'll have to get back to him on this now that I know.

That is why I am working on putting a Residential Unit in my CC. After four year of putting up with the worst customer service and all the BS from No Cold I purchased a residential and just have to replace the no cold unit. Don't know when it will go in, as my back is not the best now but it will be put in.

The PERSON working on the unit is the problem, NOT Norcold. IF you know what you are doing, they are troublefree. Doug

Aside from this problem with the recall computer box, I haven't had a bit of trouble with ours. Nice and cold and in fact, I had to turn it down because it was freezing our food.

Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones lol.
