I got a phone call the other day that a couple of kids were throwing around a cat. A girl rescued it and called me and I got him and took him to the vet. He is only around 6 months old, skinny as a rail but the most friendly thing I have ever met. I took him to the vet for a check up and got him feline tested before taking him in with ours. He was a bit sore and possibly bruised but okay, He has been with us and our brood since Monday. He is doing well and gets along fine with my guys. I had him dewormed and deflead and will try to find the "owner" but we all know how that goes. If not I will try to rehome him.
What is wrong with people. I don't want to say kids cos adults can be just as cruel. Thank you for taking him in and getting him the care he needed. I hope you find a great home for him.
Back in the late 70's we got a call from a friend who had lived next to my Nana.
Some neighborhood kids were using a small cat as a football.
She went out and gave whatfor to those kids and rescued the cat. Then she called me as she could not keep it.
We did, named her Dandy, she was a long haired beautiful tiger. We had her for many years but she was quite skittish with people but gradually we gained her trust. She absolutely adored my Mom and would spend hours in her lap and when she died my Mom just cried for days.
I'm glad we saved her, I'll never fathom how anyone, no matter what their age is, how this is fun for them, but there surely is not something right upstairs.
Spike88... Congratulations on your new family member...

I hope those sociopathic "kids" were reported to the Police for cruelty. They need help before they start harming other children or worse.
Thank you for taking the cat. I hope to see pictures of him soon.
