It will be interesting to see how long it stays at $45 for 1GB. Maybe worth watching.

You had me at Sprint 3G! That was enough for me to literally run to another provider.

They DON'T seem to be very competitive to what's already on the market. I pay $25.00 for 1.5 GB to T-Mobile and the initial cost was under $50.00 for the device itself.

I said this in another thread, but I'll say it again- what this setup is good for- for me at least- is a seldom used backup. I can use it for a year and probably not go through 2 GB of data, so not having any monthly fee, and having the unused bandwidth roll over makes it great for me. Use it a few times a year on the road to check email, keep control of servers and maybe check weather or traffic- so far this is honestly the only "plan" I would consider.

I'm kind of unusual though (It's nothing for me to use in the hundreds of gigabytes @ home)

This Walmart plan would work for us too, since we are not full-timers, and would be glad to pay only $10 to check email on a weekend RV trip at a park that does not have wi-fi already. And we would only have to pay $10 whenever we need it, not every month. Of course we already have full-blown unlimited Comcast Internet at home.

Sounds like someone at Wally world fell out of their tree and landed on their head.
