The buzzer is located behind the fuse box. To get to it I recommend you remove the cover on the dash then you will be able to get to it easier. I took RTV silicone and plugged the hole, its still damn loud but much more tollerable. I also added a latch relay circuit on the 12V line going to the buzzer. When I park the RV I can push a momentary switch (that I mounted next to the jacks light) and it will disable the buzzer. When I turn the RV off and then back on later the buzzer will sound off again. Parts needed was some wire, a momentary switch and a 12V relay with open and closed contacts. In the link I posted used the NC contacts rather that the NO contacts. Simple cheap circuit that works well, you can get the relay at a autoparts store.

BTW, you can kill the noise in ACC mode, however I like the engine running as the jacks and slideouts all use the chassis battery and I don't like to drain the battery with these high current draw items. The chassis battery does not get recharged while you camp even if you are using shore power. Also I have cought myself forgetting to turn the key off in ACC mode.

I reduced the noise from my air and jacks buzzers from deafening to just really annoying with duct tape. You can find their locations by ear when in the "deafening" mode.

I also have HWH hydraulic jacks and the unbelievably loud, blaring jacks down alarm. I lower and retract the jacks with the ignition key in the ACC position as others have mentioned. In this position, there are no alarms regardless if the jacks are up or down. By the way, I have been doing this for 10 years and 93,000 miles and have never had a problem with running down my batteries. I'd like to offer a tip. If you decide to put your ignition key in the ACC position when retracting the jacks and then put the key in the "off" position when the green light comes on indicating the jacks are restored, after you start the engine, hit the "store jacks" button again and let the system complete its cycle. The cycle takes 6 minutes, but it won't take 6 minutes to retract the jacks. If you don't allow the cycle to complete you may find the jacks down alarm coming on while you're driving down the highway even though the jacks aren't really down. I had this problem and the cure was explained to my by HWH.

Yep, for some reason if you retract in ACC it doesn't always complete the cycle and you might, or might not, get a jacks down warning at some time later in the day. Found this out the hard way when I first got the coach...then read the manual that suggests you retract with the ignition ON, engine running or not.

As mentioned, I taped over the buzzers that are still pretty loud, close the door so the neighbours don't get the benefit, start the engine and let the air and jack buzzers do their thing while I'm doing my final departure walkaround.

I have a 2012 Vista. My alarm would ding and jacks down light would come on when driving when it was brand new. I was a bad sensor. While waiting for the sensor I disconnected the dash panel by just pulling out the modular plug behind it. I run the engine to deploy the jacks with emergency engaged. No noise at all. It only seems to engage if transmission is not in park. I think you may have an issue of fluid or sensor causing the alert. In my experience the alarm sounds a problem not just routine operation. Mine are power gear however.

Here is an extensive link on another forum. We always have the store button pressed when we travel as the jacks may slip slightly from road jarring causing the jack alarm to activate. http://www.irv2.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2771374

I looked at the pictures of your Vista and your jacks are different than mine in my 2012 Vista so perhaps the problem is isolated with the HWH. Good luck.

We bought our Winnebago Sightseer last year and had the same irritation. I crawled under the dash and found the "Sone-a-lert" with black and red wires. I cut the black wire to silence the noise... (No problem having a ground wire hanging loose). The red indicator light on the instrument panel still gives a good indication of jacks down. One always does a visual inspection of the jacks before driving off so no need to have an audible warning.

That's probably fine for you, but now you should think twice about letting a blind person drive your motorhome.

I'm not blind but will soon be deaf from our HWH jacks alarm. Problem too is that it is so loud that if there ever was a problem, I wouldn't be able to hear the DW yelling at me about it either. It is definitely loud enough to cause hearing damage. We'll be modifying ours is some manner in the near future. It'll wake the neighbors in the morning as we leave as well.
