give us a report on your impressions.

the MS Signature software is a value-added component which ironically means no software but MS is added. no bloatware sounds good, as it plagues a computer for its whole life w/ dueling programs at odds w/ one another.

enjoy

It looks like I am not the only one going to give Vizio a shot. Walmart started taking pre-orders for the one I ordered and got shipping confirmation for yesterday morning. Just now I rechecked the same site and it says pre-orders sold out.

For only a few $ more you could get an equivalent apple!

Actually, the Vizio has nore Hard Disk space (though I cannot imagine what 750 or 1000 Gb of data looks like). Vizio also seems to have a small 32 Gb SSD flash drive to allow for super fast boot ups.

You can transfer data files, pictures and videos.

Not true, there are many programs that will move all your programs via usb to your new system

Cart-Racer,

That is what my computer guy told me also. I was also concerned about some of my stuff not working with the 64 bit but he said most would and some would have a 64 bit version. There is nothing about Apple I am interested in at any price.

Interesting, since Foxconn is a supplier to Asus, along with Apple and Vizio's new line of notebooks. Let us know how the Vizio works out.

The cnet video link shows the exterior build quality of all 4 notebooks and the desktop.

In my slightly previous post comparing w/ more expensive apples, I linked to the specs of your your unit.

I need some advice I know is pretty tough to give due to individual preferences but here goes. I have got this new super duper hot rod Vizio notebook coming tomorrow and think it might be time to change browsers. We have used MSN since we had Webtv. Most folks when I tell them I use MSN hold their nose and say it is crap. I don't know any better.I have over the years accumulated a bunch probably 50 or more favorites in my favorites file and my understanding is there is no way to transfer them to another browser. What do I do.

I hear a lot of you use Firefox and like their Ad Blocker and that sounds good. I know there is Google Chrome. What should a old non-techie do??
