Hello Everyone,

Our Sun Voayger is in need of the large slide out seal being replaced. It is a single piece/length of seal, not 3 pieces if that matters. I looked at it briefly and the wire teeth/clips seem to be rusted and not holding any longer on one side so it won't be long before the entire seal fails....so how hard is it to do DYI?

Clearance between where the seal mates and the actual slide is minimal. Not certain if there are any tricks/adjustments that can be done to increase clearance.....just looking for some tips/guidance. Slides are PowerGear hydraulic slides if that helps

Thanks in advance!
Sean

It's not a difficult project. I replaced the one piece seal on a Holiday Rambler I had, I made 2 pry bars from old hammer handles to push the seal into place. The rusted spring clips you are seeing are inside the rubber orginally.
Go for it.

My dw and I replaced ours on our HR. It is not to difficult,if you take your time and get a system worked out it goes pretty easy.

A little silicon lube helps. Not difficult at all, just position the slide so it is easy to work on.
