Our Dometic RM2807 will not light on gas. The spark igniter is not sparking. I can light it manually and when it gets to temperature, the burner shuts down. When it calls for cooling, the igniter will relight the burner. When I shut-off the gas, the igniter will try to relight for about a minute. It was lighting fine one month ago. I’m about to do the GAS MODE troubleshooting tomorrow but was wondering is this failure mode is unique and/or am I on the right track?
Have you done the "burner area tune-up" as described in your Dometic book? There are several things that can cause this that are remedied in the tune-up including setting igniter gap, cleaning any debris or rust out of the burner/igniter, etc.
No special tools and zero parts are needed.
If that doesn't do it, let us know and we can help trouble-shoot it.
