My trailer came with a Jensen AWM910 wall mount AM/FM/CD player. I carried a small DVD player too. I often wished the Jensen played DVD's with HDMI out.
Last year they came out with a player, the AWM975, that does just that and think builders now use it in their new models. It has been pretty expensive at around $400. I just bought and installed one for $249.00 and $13.27 shipping. Came in five days. It plays AM, FM, WB, CD, DVD, USB, and iPod. It has HDMI out and Digital Audio (optical and coaxial) in. It feeds six speakers but they appear to be three stereo pairs so I don't think it will support 5.1 surround. Has two Stereo Aux Ins in back and one mini-plug In on front. Also, RCA video and stereo out on the back. Best part is that it is a direct replacement. Hole, screw holes, and wire harness plugs match. Install takes five minutes unless you want to had a third set of speakers. I just have inside and outside. Maybe I'll do the bedroom.
Thanks for this post! We're looking to replace the dinosaur AC stereo in our 5th wheel with a DC device that is iPod ready. Looks like this will work. One question as I'm inept in this arena, our LED AC TV is HDMI capable, so I understand that means this unit will supply the dvd viewing service. But will that connection also play audio from the tv through the speakers when watching something other than a dvd on the tv?
Thanks for you help!

It is kind of two separate units, a DVD with HDMI out and a car stereo. Everything audio fed it, including the DVD, will play through three stereo speaker pairs with A, B, and C selector buttons. The DVD will feed via HDMI up to 1080p video and 5.1 surround audio to an HDMI capable TV and/or 5.1 AV receiver as in a home theater setup. It does have optical and coaxial digital audio inputs but the unit does NOT support 5.1 surround, just stereo.
Stereo should work fine for us. I like the ability to select the speaker pairs as our current system doesn't allow us to turn off the bedroom speakers. It sounds like the available jacks will allow for us to wire the tv to play through the speakers which is what we need.
