Has anyone ever had a water leak through their TV antenna? I have a small water leak above a window in my trailer that presented itself as a window leak but after removing the frame, I can't find the source. It's coming down through the wall behind the interior panel and dripping down onto the window. I suspect it coming from somewhere on the roof and running over to the wall. Usually notice it after a hard and sustained rain. I've checked the roof, the bath fan, and front A/C with no evidence of a leak. Everything seems to be sealed good from the outside. The TV antenna mount has an awful lot of lap sealant around it from the factory creating a kind of "dam effect" and I'm wondering when it rains, the water may be leaking down that way. Is there a seal inside the shaft of the TV antenna that can leak?
Thanks in advance!

Could be the rubber boot where the tv antenna cable enters the 5er is old or dislodged.

There is a rubber "O" ring that needs to be oiled with one drop only. Yours may have failed and needs to be replaced. Here on Page 4...

If possible fill in or remove the "dam", or it will continue to cause problems. Google "EternaBond" for a permanent fix or use the search box on this forum and type "EternaBond".

Yes, there is a seal in the shaft. Spray a couple shots of WD-40 up the shaft couple times a year. Look in your manual for the antenna for the instructions.

Lift up the boot where the cable from the antenna enters the camper and put some silicone caulk under it and reinstall the boot.

Mine leaked, had similar sealent creating a dam also. Mine was not leaking from this though, there was a small spot where the sealent was letting it in. I cleaned it off and resaeled it with a tube of dicor all good now no more leak.
