Sorry, 50% is not going to happen with their Michelin program. Also, don't forget, the price FMCA has worked out is the "base" price only, with all taxes, mounting and balancing extra.

Bought a set a while back. Michelins for $3600.00. Also, sold the old set for $1,400 as they only had 16,000 miles on them...local truckers love them....much better than what they normally run.

The FMCA Michelin program was basically $50 off per tire when I bought 4 last month.

You DONT need a brake job yet...but DO replace tires at 8 years. $700 each on tires for a good brand

I just replaced all 8 of my 295/80 R-22.5's. Goodyears were right at $950 each out the door, with balancing. I got my michelins thru the Monaco International Club for a discount similar the the FMCA program. I paid seperately for mounting and balancing, but the end result was each tire cost me about $750 out the door. Tires have gone up almost 30% in the last 18 months.
best price I found for the michy was 789 per on the truck ,plus a 50 dollar rebate if you buy 4 right now and that was for 295/80R 22.5. I was looking at a new coach last week that needed tires bad . This price was from a local tire guy and had no pricing from any clubs.

I think if you check around, you will find that the 30% increase was NOT due to a wholesale price increase, but many dealers and some distributors seeing a chance to rip off the unsuspecting public, when the government slapped a 30% tariff on tires imported from China. I checked with our dealer, as why he was so much less than his competitors and that was his reason. He was still paying approximately the same for his tires, that he was 18-24 months ago.
