I have the original jacks for my 1969 Avion C-11, but I can't read the tag anymore. Are these jacks still made? They are the screw type jack and they are very sturdy.

Here is a picture of one of them. They have a real heavy duty threade shaft that lifts the camper.

I don't have the originals on my 1966 C-10, but the previous owner installed 4 Rieco Titan's with the tripods that are the 2000lb each series... More than enough jack to get an Avion up in the air!

I would like to get another crank handle for mine, so I don't have to worry about the jacks. I really like the way that they work.
It isn't a top priority, but I will refurbish the jacks after the camper is further along. I'm thinking about having the screw shaft and the "gear" finshed with electroless nickel. I think that would look sharp.
Then I will paint the tripod and outer sleeve with "hammered" gray paint.

No, they don't. I posted a picture and you can see that the vertical shaft is threaded and a gear, operated by a handle turns a "geared" nut that runs the jack up and down. I have never seen one that appears to be stronger or more realiable and I'm wondering what happened to them. The nice part is that they fold up out of the way and you don't hardly even notice them on the side of the camper. The tripods can fit right under the table storage area.

I have not seen that style jack before . My jacks , which I believe are original , where made by Boch manufacturing , and look similar to the Rieco . The only real difference is the handle has a square key to fit the jack , the Rieco is round with a pin slot . Often dealerships supplied the jacks and put on what was available to them . If I am understanding your jacks correctly you have to bend down to crank them as opposed to cranking at the top , is that correct ? Cannot tell from the picture , how do they attach to the camper ?

Ticki2, yes, you have to bend down slightly but they crank real easy if you put a little Breakfree or other lube on the threads. As you can see, they are about as heavy duty as you can get. They are definitely original since you can't get to the mount screws without removing a lot of items on the kitchen side and under the refrigerator (if I recall correctly).

From this picture the heavy solid rod hanging down, goes into a tube that is bolted under the camper wing. To store the jack, you just move the screw up and turn the jack and tube 90 degrees and tighten it into it's retainer under the wing of the camper. You almost don't even notice them. The tripods store inside. I just want to get another jack handle since they only came with one. There is a spring loaded release, so they can't accidentally come off, I just want another one.

I have no doubt they are original to your camper , That is what makes me suspect that jacks were a dealer item and not an Avion item . Interesting that half the gear is attached to the handle and half to the jack . Makes it a little difficult to make one . Maybe the gear is some standard size , I have a building jack that uses that gear system.
