Pull the air diffusers and check the seal to the ductwork. When I got my KZ it had a large gap and was mostly cooling the gap between the roof and ceiling.

Reflecting film, albeit not the most efficient thermal barrier, is the only thing that will provide some insulation without blocking the light.

Place any thing on the inside of your windows is a great way to bust the seal and have foggy windows. Place your material on the outside and stop the heat BEFORE it gets inside.

The Reflectix works great in knocking down some heat. Another potential help would be a reflective elastometric roof coating. I spread a 5-gallon bucket of Henry's 287 on my TT roof last month. Ithas made a big difference in keeping the trailer cooler, and is an added protection from leaks!

We used to have a popup. A popular mod was to put something called popup gizmos on the bunk ends and reflectix inserts in the window panels. It definitely worked. I made some bunk end covers out of spaces blankets by Cabellas. I wonder if you temporarily affixed a space blanket to the roof, if you would see a difference. The blanket has grommets on it. I'm thinking suction cup hooks to hold it on. Just make sure to not cover the a/c unit. A cheap temporary option.

Our solution, when we only had one q/c unit, was foil on the windows, cover or plug the crank up overhead windows and several fans. Moving the air helped us BUT there was a point around 101 or so when nothing came out of the a/c but warm air. At that point we headed to the mall, or somewhere, till it cooled down some. Feel your pain since we lived in Sherman at the time.

I've been using Reflectix for years. I have it cut to size for every window and put it between the window and the blinds. If it helps in the Las Vegas area- it will help you.
I also used it in November in Pa. using one heat strip, I was able to survive.
I hate cold weather.
I know it can be bought cheaper, but Camping World had a 4 ft size that fit my windshield with minimum cutting.

Surprised that no one has mentioned cutting your loss of cool air by placing magnetic covers over floor vents. Another trick that I use is to turn a sprinkler on that dampens the top of the trailer. Doesn't have to be on constantly, the evaporating water really pulls the heat off the roof and keeps it out of the trailer.

I read your post twice and I am still laughing during this reply! If this forum had a Hall of Fame, your post would be a nominee! That being said, your post was informative and I am going to buy a roll of that stuff myself! Two ice blocks and a case of beer too!

I have a sets of this material for the inside of windows (traveling down road and stationary) and another set for when parked.
The stationary set velcro over outside windows and the frames. The frames transfer heat as well.
Windows are 4' radius and door windows are 2" radius.
