Looking for a recommendation within 0-25mi or so for an RV Park to hang out for a week or so. Can't really seem to find any gems in the area.

NOTE: Coming up from Omaha toward Sioux Falls,SD,then well cut east into MN/WI area.

Thanks for any help.

Wouldn't really call it a gem, but when we went thru the area in '09 we over-nited at Red Barn in Tea, SD, just south of Sioux Falls. Worked for us.

I have researched this state park a couple of times and intend to spend at least one night there this summer. BIGSouix

Did you steal my travel plans? We are in Cheyenne and will hit SD next week and MN a week after that. If you have PA you can stay at one of the two PA's for 1/2 price. Not gems but price is good.

Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

Yeah, saw 2 PA's...preferring 'water'--pool, lake, etc...especially being hunkered down for a week.

You might want to look into lake Vermillion state park. Not too far from Sioux Falls and a nice lake.HERE

There is a Yogi Bear in Brandon, might be worth a look. We just left Tower CG in the city, and unless you have business in town, I would not recommend it - owners friendly, hard working - but between trains, planes, and automobiles - it is one of the loudest cg's we ever stayed in.

We stayed at Red Barn for a few nights in 2009 and have no complaints. We were meeting my parents there and they booked us into adjoining sites where we could pull in opposite directions so doors would face each other. That's nice for the kids who like to go back & forth. Clean restrooms and nice sites. We would consider it again if going back to that area.

We stayed at Tower CG and found the owners to be wonderful and the grounds to be nice... there aren't many amenities but you can't beat the location for sightseeing Sioux Falls. I've heard others talk about the noise but we weren't bothered at all... we ran our fans and were in a hybrid TT.
