This may sound like a dumb question, but I am very new at this. After tenting for a number of years, we decided to get a camper, referenced in the subject line. It came with no manuals. I was able to get the manuals for just about everything on line. Never having owned anything with holding tanks, I am sort of baffled as to how to empty. On the outside, I only see one discharge pipe. While researching on line, I find seperate items for gray and black tanks. I am wondering if my Sun-Lite has only one holding tank, since I cannont find anything that would indicate there are 2. Would anyone happen to know? Thank you in advance for any tips, suggestions or responses. I will apologize now if I put this in the wrong forum. Thanks! John

Welcome! No dumb questions here.

On the discharge pipe...a 3" pipe with a cap towards the back on the drivers side?

You should have a flexible 3" dump hose in a compartment, or "inside" the back bumper. This should have a coupler that licks on the same tabs the cab does. Looking behind the cap/end of the pipe there will be one or two handles that pull straight out from the plumbing...do not pull them unless you have the hose connected and you are prepared for dumpage!

If you have two valves, one is for grey and one is for black water. If you only have one valve, it sounds like you have one tank for all waste water. If this is the case, you need to be careful not to fill the tank up as the shower drain is your low point and you don't want stinky stuff to bubble up there.

On the ones I found online, only one mentioned a 15 gallon holding tank. That's not a bad size for a few days assuming navy showers. Do the dishes outside if you can.

Often just doing a google search will bring up information on your purchase from others descriptions and stories.

Good Luck with it, and happy camping.

I have googled the camper for the last 2 months, for bits and pieces of info. I did find one mentioning a 15 gallon holding tank and 25 gallon fresh water tank. I can find only one handle, so I probably only have the 1 15 gal. tank. No shower in this unit, only the toilet and sink. Sounds like if I follow the instructions I found on line for the black water dumping/flushing I should be ok. Many thanks to both of you....I will feel a bit more confident when I try using the water/toilet.

With only one tank, I would dump, close the valve, refill the tank with water...at least 4-5 gallons, then dump again. This will wash most of the nasty stuff put of the valve and dump hose for you!!
