FWIW Consumer Reports rated the Galaxy S III higher than the iphone. Just read it in their magazine.

2x - It replaced the Droid X and other than buttons I see no difference. Well memory card has external opening and does not require removing the back. Nice in the case you need to do a hard reboot.

I thought you couldn't upgrade to a 4G phone and still keep the unlimited data plan?!

The wife and I both have the Droid Boinic and it is a good phone. She got hers first, and then I got mine just as the Razr came out. I wasn't willing to spend the extra money on the the Razr. Bonus is that we both got the 4gig upgrade for the price of the 2gig.

Back on topic... I like the droids more than the Apple. Seems like there are more free apps for the droids & other versus the iphone.

This past Saturday we used my accounts last upgrade to replace my wifes Droid X.....We were not sure which phone to go with.....

I bought the Bionic last September but the Bionic is no longer at the top of the heap....

I asked the Verizon guy what in his opinion was the best smart phone in the store......he said all things considered.....the Razr Maxx was the top dog with the Galaxy Nexus at a close second.....So, that is what we went with.....

I asked how the Iphone stacked up.....he said it is lacking dual core, 4G lte, the camera is only 5MP, it's playback is only 720p and it's screen is only 3.5".....it's specs aren't even close to one of the Droid models.......

Both the Bionic and the Razr Maxx will both be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade within the next few weeks.....

You can upgrade to 4G and keep unlimited, but I think it has to be done by 6/28/2012.

FYI - the new share plans went into affect today from Verizon. Wonder if that's why they no longer support the My Verizon data usage widget on Android - it was removed in an update today for some reason.

You have until tomorrow-Wednesday to upgrade. I preordered the wife a galaxy S3. The Razr Maxx is nice but lacks nfc- near field communication.
