I am an avid paperkrater, stamping and cardmaking and scrapbooking and truly enjoy taking projects with me on the road in our Mallard. It is so relaxing to me to be able to craft during downtimes out in nature surroundings. Have discovered clever storage ideas and great ways to take craft or hobby stuff along.

I usually hand piece a quilt or applique. I've also made quite a few afghans while camping. I'd love to do beading, however, we have 2 cats that would really mess up a table of craft supplies.

Mine is easy, as I knit toques for premature babies at our hospital. I also do a few baby blankets to add to their yearly craft sale to raise money. They hold one big one a year to get and keep the community envolved with the hospitabl. Easy peasy for me.

My DW is constantly working on something. It always a different project, from crochet, to beads to origami, to cutting/creating something with the cricut machine. So yes she always brings something crafty to do. Me on the other hand, well, I just love plastic car models. I never seem to have time for them at home, I get lost in them when camping. It is not uncommon for the 2 of us to never leave the dinette when camping. (Except to eat which is generally at a restaurant when camping--we usually eat at home, and camping gives us the excuse to eat out).

Call us weird!! That is OK!! This is what we enjoy. That's how we roll.

I make doll clothes or do plastic mesh needlework. A large fishing table box holds all of my supplies. for whichever I am doing.
Next week we will have our sevn year old grandson with us and he has reminded me to bring things for him to make when we are not swimming, biking, canoeing, etc.
If I do not bring something to do it rains, if I do, I might not have time.

Sewing is so theraputic to me, especially while camping. It's like a double-dose of relaxation. I usually set my sewing maching up outside under the awning, on a table. I pour myself a glass of wine (just one so I don't sew my fingers together) and turn on some soft music. Heaven!

I usually sew fleece slippers to sell on Etsy during the winter months, but I've mended a sleeping bag and a patched a couple of pairs of jeans for my camping neighbors.

My teenage son loves to use a wood burning tool to burn intricate designs in whatever stick he picks up. He'll also make pop can tab bracelets to sell. He'll donate the money to a cause.
