I have a weekend warrior light weight 5th wheel. It got some hail damage. It's an aluminum siding constructed trailer. I keep it in covered storage but the front of the trailer sets open to the south.
I have dozens of hail dings on the front cover and minor damage on both side towards the front. Some damage to the decals too.
The insurance co has gotten ahead of me. I haven't had an opportunity to send them photos yet. By examining a stock photo, they estimate the damage at $1600 and are cutting me a check (less deductible). They haven't closed the claim & are allowing me more time to have it estimated.
Does anyone have an opinion regarding whether this is a fair value?
WW is out of business, but I doubt I can get decals. Frankly, it's cosmetic, I'm not 100% sure I'll fix it a this time. Otherwise trailer is in very good shape.

The Arctic White 2" Mesa Aluminum 48" x 96" used on your trailer is available at lumber dealers and roofing shops. The panels are easily removed, run around $60.00 each, new ones cut to size and the "S" lock interlock tabs slide back on with little effort.
The edge molding is what holds them in place. Try to squeeze some more from the insurance company, a dealer or repair shop would easily get away with charging $2500.00 or more.
You can buy the parts for $500.00 or so.

I had some damage to my front and side panels about half way up and the estimate to replace them was over $3800 on a metal sided TT. They told me it was mainly the labor to do the replacement.
Get an estimate from a local shop and it might be higher than they estimated....

I'd say don't cash their check until you get an estimate for repair. By cashing the check may close the claim as paid.

glad for the advice guys. I just called the local shop recommended by Insurance co. The service guy told me the $1600 would likely cover only the labor. Expect the bill to be nearly double.
I find that hard to believe since we're only talking about abuot 60-80 sqft of aluminum siding. Even more far fetched was him telling me that he orders the siding from the outfit that bought out Weekend Warrior. I figured that he'd just have raw stock onhand & use that. Perhaps it's a special white?
Does anyone know if you can still get the decals?

For decals, take several digital pictures of your unit and take them to a shop that makes decals (yor will want to do this before they replace the metal, so they can get measurements). they can take the picture and recreat the decal.
Or play around with a few ideas of your own and have them made.
