In the Army we dont do oil changes. Every so many Mile the Computer tells us to do an oil sample. If the Sample comes back good we drive on of it come back contaminated, we fix it and replace fluids.

Blows a hole in the fact annual oil changes are required does it not. I wish I had tested the 17 year old oil I drained out of the 18 HP B&S home generator.

People actually believe this stuff. Do your one Blackstone lab tests. Even with the best synthetic oils, viscosity increases to out of range in less than 20k miles even with topping off as it gets low on the dip stick.

It's obvious why they are anonymous. Total fabrication.

No they just happen to match the standard numbers one for one.

Suspicious, but maybe that's where the standard came from?
Oil changes aren't about time or mileage, they're about usage / contamination. Lots of really short trips in cool humid weather will result in condensation not getting cooked away, as one example.

Say what? No believing on my part because I have facts backing up my OCI's. I run Amsoil AME 15w-40 for 25,000 miles or one year. If I don't hit the mileage first I extend past a year (2-3 months if needed) to hit 25,000 miles. I don't have to add any oil between oil changes and I do not make oil either. Keep on being a non believer.......

New Amsoil AME viscosity is 14.2 @ 100°C cSt.
Past four oil changes using Amsoil AME in order of oldest to newest.
2008 viscosity was 13.3 @ 100°C cSt.
2009 viscosity was 13.4 @ 100°C cSt.
2010 viscosity was 13.3 @ 100°C cSt.
2011 viscosity was 13.5 @ 100°C cSt.

You are comparing apple to oranges.

You have a diesel. Diesel fuel dilutes engine oil less than gasoline.

You are running synthetic. Synthetic viscosity changes less over time than dino oil, and it changes even less from fuel dilution than dino oil.

Do you run the full 25000 on the same filter?

You obliviously have never seen a 6.4L PSD report Same with the early 6.7 Cummins. Lots of owners are down to a 5k mile oil change regiment because of making oil. You can't paint with that wide of brush.
