I've been searching for tires to replace the six (10 year old) tires on the back of my DP. Yes, I know the 5-7 year thing but I've put almost all the miles on these tires and I'll probably put them on the back of my dump truck. They are GY Marathon's made in Germany and still do not have any cracks anywhere plus I inspected the insides two years ago.
Because of the good reports on here about Hankook tires I was about to buy 11R 22.5's for $450, not mounted. Found these on EWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649">Ebay but with them being in SLC, UT almost passed them up. Turns out the tires are in NC and they all have DOT dates of 2511. At $350/tire delivered to GA and I have a tire guy who will change for $20/tire I'm a happy camper.
Thanks you, Bob (The Texan) for your reports on Hankooks.

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Ivylog,

I just replaced 6 275/70/r22.5 on my Ambassador saturday with Hankook AH 12. Tires were $390 each and I paid $125 for mounting. Sounds like you did better than I did. Congratulations. My date codes are also 2511.

I bought two Hankook,A-11,19.5" steer tires, last week. Today we just drove to St Ignace, and was impressed with an improved ride over the Good Year's.
