Today I pulled into our second campground of our vacation and when I pulled around to my site directly across from me is a family tent camping. Huge site one tent not much out but their van is parked with its nose hanging a little into the road right where I need to turn. No one is around so after alot of messing around I get it in. Now I'm not the best at parking bit geez I came within a couple of inches of this van and it irritated me. Am I wrong for being mad at this? I always pull my vehicles as far in as possible for others to pass/park and to give the kids room when riding bikes.

See it in a lot of camp grounds the last few years. A lot of camp ground no longer have tent camping areas but mixes them in with the RVs. I agree a lot of these people have no idea about how to set up a site. They put all their stuff in the middle and then park one or more vehicle right out front along the the drive way.

It seems to me they paid for their site and they should be allowed to use any way they want.

How far is a little?

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

In every situation one has to make a choice about how they react. If you want to be annoyed, and seethe over it every time you look at it, you can choose that, and others around you will likely feel it.

Or you can set up your rig, pull out your chairs and set them up facing the other way, kick back and enjoy your time there without ever even thinking about it.

Of all the things that might influence the joy of camping, a poorly placed, silent, non barking, not smoking, not cutting through your site, van across the road from you is about the easiest to forget about.

Being that they are tent campers, they prob just didn't give any thought to RVs being able to get around/back in ect.
I've had it happen to us quite a few times. I always get in by hook or by crook or sometimes if the people are on site, they will move to help get me in.

I really don't get upset about it. Life's to short to let something like that ruin your day.

When you see the tent site folks a little howdy and a small conversation about the van sticking out in the road.
Just mention kindly that you had too squeak by and if he might back in just a little more to make it less difficult for you when you leave if he is still there.
A kind word and a little joke such as, you probably don't want any of my paint on your van.
