Okay, here is the info I promised last night. The bound journal we used on our last extended trip(ten weeks/13K miles) was the Road Trip Journal from Journals Unlimited, Inc., Write It Down Series with over 60 titles. It is not perfect for everyone but I like bound journals better than a CD sitting on a shelf. Excel is handy and as I have been told, easy to use but is very sterile and impersonal. A hand written journal is not and is a lot more fun for us to review and our family really enjoys excerpts we send out, where a computer printer spread sheet ...

The ulr for The Road Trip Journal is: http://www.journalsunlimited.com/store/products/21276/.

I guess this is the point at which some would add their disclaimer, personnally I think the Moderators have brains enough to figure out I'm not a salesperson, so ...

You mean, you actually write? Like with a pen or pencil? I've heard of that before. Never actually seen it, but it must be cool.

Joshin ya of course. That's a nice thing you do I think. That's a journal, which in my mind is different than a log. A spreadsheet wouldn't be very good for a free style journal. But then, a hand written journal isn't much good for summing up mileage for maintenance, or fuel mileage averages.

A hand written journal is something that the kids and grandkids could keep and cherish as memories of you.
