04 6.0 ... knock on wood ... only got 85,000 on it & so far only Egr valve & #7 injector @ 80 thou. Not using it for our Northwest tour this fall to DD's big wedding so we don't have to worry if it will make it there & back. DW said I could trade it for a Ecoboost, so come next spring I'll hopefully be pullin the TT with a 2013 Ecoboost. Already have it designed. Life is fantastic & gettin better every day

Just fixed a '03 Duramaxx 3500 Cab/Chassis with 213k miles...

3 injectors. Previously had all 8 replaced.

New solid flywheel and clutch assembly.

Used (80K) transmission because the dual mass flywheel came apart and took out the input shaft and rebuilder found a cracked case.

I haven't seen the bill yet, but I am guessing $8k+.

The previous 8 injectors had to have been at $4k+.

On my old '06 Duramx LBZ 2500HD 4x4 CC, was bought new - one front wheel bearing (replaced both sides), various light bulbs, one reflash for glow plugs Under warranty), one set of front and rear brakes, one set of tires (tires were ready to be replaced again when I traded it), 14 oil changes with oil filter, 8 fuel filter changes, 2 transmission filters - all for 126k on the odometer.

05 GMC Sierra 2500HD - only real issue was reluctor ring came loose internally and would set off CEL, cam position sensor code. Dealer repaired $2300, my cost $100 deductible. ABS wheel sensor, HVAC actuator and PW actuator all replaced under warranty. Did have the dash cluster repaired on my dime, total cost $100 shipping included. Other than that it has just been routine maintenance. Only 52K on the clock, she's a garage queen now, only comes out when I need a pickup to haul something or we're going camping.

My truck is a 2007.5 one ton Dodge with 6.7 Cummins and the only issues I've had over the past five years have been related to the emissions systems all these new trucks have. Various computer flashes and other tweaks over the years have improved the situation to some extent. Warranty just expired a few weeks ago so now I'll learn how expensive repairs are going to be in the future .
