I am a new owner of a 2002 Monaco Windsor. I understand there is a security safe in my unit but have not yet found it. Can anyone tell me the location of it?

I did some searching and they don't advertise where they put it probably for good reason. From the photo's I saw on several dealer websites that said thier vehicles had the safe option it looked like there were several good spots in the closet floor to hide it, unless those are just engine access covers. I'd just walk around and pull everything open and look for any notch outs that might be finger holes and open everything, give the carpet a tug here and there too to make sure its not hidden under the floor or bed. Are you sure it is installed?

Lift the mattress (not the platform it rests on) and there should be a hatch that opens to reveal the safe.

Thanks for suggestions but no luck so far. Everything remains safe - if only I could find it.

Same issue here. The factory build sheet says that it's there but in three years, I still haven't found it and the selling dealership couldn't find it either. Some safes must come with a cloaking devise.

My safe is under the bed and then under another hatch cover. I have a 97 Imperial.

Sounds like everyone is telling you to look down which would have been my first thought. Have you tried looking high. Are there any cupboards or cabinets that might have a fake back panel? Some of the upper cabinets in our bedroom are so deep that my wife needs a step stool to see to the back of them. Might be a good place to hide a lightweight safe.

Call Monaco with the last six of your vin and they can tell if you have one and where it should be. Mine is under the bed and it's empty.
