We are on our annual 3 month vacation out west. We discovered that our dryer in our coach is not working and our dishwasher door won't stay closed so since we were in Flagstaff, AZ decided to go down to Tucson and see Lazy Days RV for repairs.
We have been here since Sunday night and I have to say, everyone has been very helpful. We are currently waiting for parts for the dryer and dishwasher but as everyone knows "stuff happens"
While waiting here, there was a huge wind storm come up and it grabbed one of our compartment doors before we could catch it. Now we have to have two compartment doors replaced and then painted to match the coach.
While lying in bed watching TV after all this, we smell something burning and sure enough it is the wires in the electrical panel. Now we have to have the panel replaced.
I never thought much of extended warranties before but SOooooo glad we decided to get it with this coach. Since it is used (2009) and we just bought it in October, we thought we should go ahead and get the warranty.
Our other motorhome insurance will cover the doors after our $1000 deductible but that is still better than paying full price.
So, I think we will be here for a while. At least we have a place to park, electricity, access to water and a dump station and free breakfast and coffee in the morning. Could be a lot worse so I am just going to be grateful that we were home when we smelled the wires burning and that we are here where they can help us get back on the road.

It's great you are at a service center whose staff is courteous and responsive. I know you are real glad that you have an extended service plan.

I'm sure you will be on your way in a few days. Safe travels.

God is Good! Yes, stuff happens but it sounds like you're in a good place to deal with it all.

Gosh what are the chances of all that happening in a perfect spot! Glad you are taking it in stride and that you have that extended warranty.

To make things even more interesting, we were told on Monday that they may have to keep the coach over night and we couldn't find any hotels that would accept 3 dogs so we prepared ourselves to sleep in our car. It wouldn't be easy but we could do it. So after dropping off the coach at their body shop which is 2 miles from the rest of Lazy Days, we drive back to Lazy Days to wait when we discover that we have a flat tire and it appears we need to replace 2 tires. When our service advisor heard, she insisted that her mechanics would take care of it and she called around to get the best price for the tires and they went and picked them up for us and put them on. Then a receptionist there hears that we might have to sleep in our car and she offers to take our dogs to her house for the night. We declined but how gracious of her to offer. Luckily our coach was ready that evening and we were able to sleep in it.
Today, they finished the washer/dryer and dishwasher and then we went back to the campground for the next 2 days. Hopefully, on Thursday, we will get the part for the electrical problem and then we will stay in their campground until Monday. What may be to some a bad experience has been for us very pleasant. I always keep a journal when we are traveling and I have to admit, I see all of this as a "journal opportunity"

Check out cowtown for a good meal, about a mile from Lazy Days out the side exit.
