OK, just want to vent a bit. I was traveling I 90 today, in the right lane, about 62 mph. A class a pulled in to the left lane to pass me, no big deal - right? Wrong. The guy was going maybe 62 1/2 mph, so he was next to me in strong winds - forever. And, to make it worse - MUCH WORSE - he was totally over the lane line - he was in my lane - I had no where to go other than the rumble strip and shoulder. He wasn't cutting back over too soon, just no lane awareness. I am safe and sound in my cg for the day - be safe out there

I know exactly how you feel klm,
Traveling down I-40 east in Arkansas today, a merging car oblivious to traffic tries to merge right into the side of me. This person didn't even look to see if there was any traffic!!!
When I realized they were coming over without looking I gave a big honk on the air horns.... they sped up and merged. I still had to give another big honk for my dislike of their maneuver. Some people think that they are the only people on the road.

Kick off the cruise and step on the brake pedal. This would have taken care of the problem immediately after you noticed he was not passing you in a timely manner.

Another word: brake. Two more words: slow down. Why not just get out of his way? If he's an accident waiting to happen, I don't want to be the other part, know what I mean? Happy trails!

I can't tell you how many times I have had someone come up the entrance ramp and match me for speed. I would have to kick it out of cruise and let them in. After this happened to me on three separate occasions on the W Va. turnpike, I finally said to myself enough is enough. So here comes number 4 and I just stayed in my lane as there were people on the left lane, and this idiot still didn't figure it out till he skidded to a stop just short of the guard rail. Sometimes it makes you wonder just where they learned to drive. All they need to do is speed up or slow down a little to fit in. Grrr.

Randy Such a simple solution.
Sounds like it was a case of its my lane and I'll occupy it as long as I want because its mine.
An easier solution is to just back off for a couple seconds and let the fool go.
