This one is an easy camping cookie bar. You use a tube of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, or 2 cups of your favorite homemade chocolate chip cookie dough.
1 18 oz. refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
Press half the cookie dough into an 8 inch square pan. Beat together cream cheese, sugar, and egg. Spread on top of cookie dough in pan. Crumble remaining dough on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min. or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
This should work fine in a dutch oven with a pan on a rack inside.

I've had this with "sugar cookie" dough and a cinnamon sugar topping. Tasted like a cheese danish.

I think it would be good with about any kind of cookie dough. Just changes cookie up a bit.

Yummy--I have had this made into individual ones in mini muffin pans--I have added choc to the cheese mix as well.

We've done this one with Nestlé refrigerated brownie dough. Great stuff.
