On the Razr phones this is the hard reset. Or has that changed with ICS? I havent got the update yet.

Power plus volume up button is hard reset. Power/volume down is now screen shot.

WOW! That's scary. Is there a warning and a confirmation required before the hard reset?

Not sure. I might have done a hard reset once on my Xoom? My phone is a nexus. Battery pull is an option.

I don't think Vol Up + Power while the phone is on is a hard reset. I think to do a hard reset you press Vol Up + Down (at the same time) and Power while the phone is booting to go into recovery mode and from there you can do a hard reset. It's not likely to happen by accident.
