I'm thinking of getting a genturi. We sometimes use the air conditioners and usually have the vents open. We will pull air in one vent and push it out the other. What happens when using the genturi and it's putting out the generator exhaust at roof height? Do I need to stop using it when I have the vents or air conditioners going?

The roof A/C doesn't bring outside air into the RV. The rooftop air vents DO!

Ditto. I use my Genturi often with no issues - as long as the roof vents are closed.

If your running the generator to power the A/C, you should have the vents closed anyways.

My roof vents have fans and I leave them on low when the genny is running with the Genturi attached.

the exhaust from the genturi is both heated, which will make it go up, and already heading up at a pretty good pace. not too likely that it will settle back down on the roof, even in a dead calm.

What happens if I use the Gen-Turi?
Answer: The hot exhaust gas/air mixture continues to rise after it exits the top of the Gen-Turi, already above the roof vent it continues to rise and causes NO problems.
I have seen the "Warning" from people who are for some reason I can not fantom anti-gen-turi over and over yet not one person can point to a case where exhaust vapors were sucked in via a roof vent or A/C following a Gen-Turi install.
MANY can point to cases where the exhaust gases entered BEFORE a Gen-turi install. Myself included, (Happend to me several times) but post Gen-turi I have run the generator for over 24 hours straight on a few occasions, and for many hours on many occasions and not once as there been ANY evidence of exhaust fumes entering the rig. And not one reported case either.
Just the "Warnings" from folks who can't understand it won't happen.

While I don't have a Genturi, I do have a rooftop exhaust for the generator and this exhaust only extends 6" or so above the roof. Some roof vents can be set to pull in air and while it is unlikely to draw in exhaust, it would be better to set them to both (all) blow out and then draw your air in from a lower point such as a window.
As stated previously in this thread, the air conditioners do not take in air from outside so you can run them anytime, Genturi or not.

Much of what is written above makes sense, but I would still not have an open rooftop vent blowing INTO the coach while the genny's running. I guess I'm just a bit conservative when it comes to CO.

You shouldnt have any vents open when running the A/C. At any time that makes no sense at all. so you will be fine with the A/c going. Genturi works great!!
