Bleach mixture has always worked for me. I'll wash the roof with it and a simple green mix, then move to the awning. Do the top and rinse. Then the under side. I always get soaked and smell like Mr. Clean, but in a bathing suit when it's 90+ out there it sure feels gooooooooooood.

On my Carefree Vinyl awning after cleaning with bleach and dish detergent I spray it down with STP Son of a Gun protectant on both sides and wipe it down, have been doing this for the last 10 years with the last 2 trailers with not ill effects. The protectant helps the water bead off and the mildew and stains not stick, usually after the spring cleaning anything that gets on it during the season rinses right off with water.

X3 on Tilex Mold & Mildew. I use a extendable pole and seperate brush brush. Apply to both sides, roll up and leave for 20 minutes, unroll, rinse and let dry. Looks brand new.
