Most radios have a front/rear fader. The option is buried in the menu somewhere if you have a more modern fully electronic radio. I keep the fade full front so I can listen when DW is in bed.
Balance/fade used to be with dials but no more.

Along with the what others post, you migh have a set of switches in the bed room that turn off the speaker and rear amp for the back. That is the way our is.

those speakers in the bedroom are usually attached to the radio in the dashboard. To get sound in the bedroom you have to access the "Fader" control somewhere on that radio. Fader and balance are usually together. It could be the knob just behind the volumne control or a knob behind the "Station" cntrol knob or by using a button that might say "Audio" each radio is different. If you don't have a manual for the dash radio, google the brand and model number and maybe you will get lucky and find a manual. But I am almost sure that those speakers are hooked to that dash radio. Good luck

With the DVD or VCR do you get a picture? If so you may need yo set your TV menu to auxiliary sound or adjust the sound from the DVD player.
