What is the impact of leaving a RV closed up during the very hot summer days?

Mine is in storage and is closed up in the heat all summer when I'm not camping. Nothing has happened to it so far and I've been doing this for several years.

I don't think it hurts it as much as extreme cold in the winter.

If you have vent covers over the vents I would open them a little to let the heat out. Just make sure there are covers over the vents to keep the rain out.

It isn't so much the Heat as the Humidity that causes problems!

I installed one of those attic fan temp controllers that comes on when it reaches a settable temp inside my locked-up trailer. I have shore power connected to my garage when it is parked at the house so I dont have to worry about running down my batteries doing this. This turns on a exhaust fan out of a slightly louvered window that I have cracked open just a tad...

I've had a candle melt and some squirty soap expand out of the pump type container but nothing serious. When I remember, I leave the window behind the sink cracked a little bit. It doesn't seem to get wet and if it does, hey, it's a sink.

I would remove any items that the heat could damage, if left in the MH during high heat. As for the MH, all of the MH's in a Dealer's Inventory sit out and are probably closed up with no problems.

My 09 PW class B is always parked in our sunny driveway when not in use. Here in Phoenix it is normally hot (100 plus) all summer. I keep the fantastic fan vent open during the day to let some heat out. I keep a digital thermometer in the RV and still even though the roof vent is open the temp sometimes inside the RV gets to 110 to 115. I use sun shades on all the windows also. There is not much I can do about it and the one problem I see happening is that the caulking in the bathroom is separating from the panels on the walls in the corners and the wood panels on the cabinets in the RV seem to be drying out and getting minor cracks in them. For the wood I constantly apply lemon oil to prevent the wood from drying out and it seem to be ok, but for the bathroom caulking problem, oh well??? If I recaulk the corners of the bathroom walls when it is cooler, it will just happen again in the summer. Haven't seen any other problems. I keep the outside waxed to protect the paint job. Wish I could put it in the garage but it is too high and long.
