The real question, who is willing to call my ex and convince her the kids will be okay?
What?? It's just rain, H2O. Do the children not take baths? I could see if the kids had chronic health problems like asthma or were immunocompromised. But I don't see why you can't go camping in the rain, assuming there is no violent weather predicted.

Me & DH in non-parenting mode!
Just got home. I am glad I went, the kids have varying reviews of the past couple days.
Shortly after we got to our site, we were set up and had a snack. It was time for a hike, so we walked to the lake. We then walked around to the swim area, and my two youngest went in wearing their jean shorts. I sat on the beach and thought "this is the life".
We kept the fire going in the light rain, with a kettle for making hot chocolate. We played Uno, and I taught the kids how to play Rummy. My 7 year old is better than me at both :/
The rain stopped long enough for us to get a bike ride in as well. When we got back to camp, I worked on the bikes with my oldest.
Breaking camp in the rain is pretty low on my list of things I enjoy, I have it pretty good if that is the worse thing that happened.
Thanks for the replies! BTW, I do not need my ex's permission (anymore), things are a lot less complicated when we agree.

Exactly rv2go. From my experience, eventually the kids grew up, became independent, and didn't want to go on these adventures anymore. I say, go any chance you can get.
