looks like it has the extra long wheelbase too? that would make it more stable to. i would advise knowing the laws reguarding flatbeds in your area. here in MI it makes it commeercial becouse to many people were abusing the pickup thing. that means all comercial laws apply here just a heads up.

Great looking truck and welcome to the "world of dually"...There would be some that would argue with you until THEY were blue in the face that a dually doesn't offer a more stable towing experience than a SRW truck, but "WE" know better now, don't we.....

After you go DRW you will never go back What a lot of the tow bodies do is have a cutout like you made and install a plate in the bottom and then box it in to seal the bed back up.

I put 3/8 plate across the frame. I still need some sheet metal to box it in. I will probably use the cut out piece to drop back in when the hitch is out.

That's a cab/chassis with 60" cab to axle frame length, which is about 4" longer wheelbase length than a '99-up F250/350 crew cab long bed pickup (172" wb). Very nice truck.

I have an F350 cab/chassis regular cab with 84" cab to axle frame length, which is about 7" shorter wheelbase than my F350 crew cab long bed pickup (161" for cab/chassis, versus 168" for pickup).

^good info. I like the cab and chassis configuration. I was surprised to see a 9750 lbs RAWR. It does ride stiff, but with the camper it feels very solid.

I may be close on GCWR still, but I will have plenty of RAWR and GVWR.

Question...what psi are you dually guys running in the rear? My door sticker says 65 psi. The tires are factory replacement E range.

FWIW, I bought a 99 F450 crew cab XLT, but the wife had trouble with the manual tranny. It's ride was super stiff unloaded. I missed the Lariat interior too. My F250 was a Lariat and so is the F350...I am spoiled, I guess.
