So what is your highway mileage? For me going my local speed limits of 60-65 MPH I get about 20 highway with 3.73's. Did I really get one of those "special" 6.0 PSD engines or what

I have never checked mileage. Will it improve if I do?

My wife drives our '05 2500 SB QC with 3:73 gears with a little taller tires lowered 2" in the rear as a daily driver and it is mostly rural driving 55-60 with a few stops and she gets 19-19.5 daily. We get 11 pulling my 5er with boat behind it and 22.5 on the highway empty @70-72.It is programmed, breathing easy and flowing the exhaust. This is hand calculated.

Since Rico likes to crash every 6.0 psd thread I'll add a little to this Cummins thread as well.

My '12 Ford 6.7 psd, 6 speed Torque shift tranny, 3.55EL, makes a solid 21 mpg hwy and 16-18 mpg city.

COMPARING TO:

My brother-n-law's 07 5.9 Cummins DRW makes a solid 14-15 hwy so I think Rico is sippin the RAM Kool Aid folks ("about 20mpg" is most likely <20mpg). His previous 6.7 Cummins made a whopping 10-12 mpg.

Thanks for the opportunity Rico...

Drove from Portland to Boise and back @ 21.0 mpg, empty at 65-75 ( mostly 65). Proper tire inflation, and flat ground with very few big grades.
Around town, I get 18.
With the camper, we get 15.

I also have 3.73... I am guaranteed at least 20mpg if I keep it at 70 mph our slower. I keep the tires at 80 psi all the time. While I don't think it matters any I do have a hard tonneau cover. I haven't done enough city or combo to see how it does there.

My dad has an 01 HO 6spd 4wd quadcab dually with 3.55 and gets right close to the same as me, but I make more power lol.
