ok, how long was it BEFORE that that they were either A: topped off or B: Installed? Divide by 2.
The NAPA batteries or 5 years old, they have 6 cells in each battery, 2 batteries 12 cells, last time I top them was about 3 weeks before. That time they took about half a gal.

Converter overcharging-- have you checked voltage yet?
A battery with a dead cell causing the converter which could be putting out the proper voltage to way over-charge the remaining good cells.
As posted, check with a voltmeter and/or battery hydrometer. Everything else is guessing.
I have check with a hydrometer, the cells are dead how and what do I check with the voltmeter to make sure the converter is putting out the right voltage?
Thanks

First step would be to replace the bad battery(s). Best if all batteries are the same age and type.
THEN check with a voltmeter from positive terminal to negative terminal.
If you have a "smart" converter or charger, you will want to check both an hour after you plug in shore power and also 24 hours after you plug into shore power, as voltage SHOULD be different.
If not a "smart" one, check after a couple of hours on shore power.
