Taking the new Silverback out for our first real trip for a week at Adventure Bound Camping in Gatlinburg. It looks like a good place for kids. We've got 3 grandkids, 3,6, & 9. Water slides and so forth look pretty good. We'll probably spend more time away than at the campground. Anybody been here recently? It gets mostly good reviews, there are almost always some bad ones. I'll give my review when we return next week. Any info would be appreciated.

We went the last year it was Crazy Horse and it was kind of run down. We liked the location and the stream side site we had. I dont remember how big sites were though. We didnt have a 35 foot trailer then and didnt care too much about length. We love to drive down to greenbriar and go back in the woods. ITs beautiful

Well, not too impressed so far. Haven't been able to use the waterslide yet. They keep closing it early. Storm knocked the cable out. We can live without that but it would be nice to watch a little tv when we go to.bed. We could barely fit in the spot. We told them the size.of our camper when we made the reservation so that shouldn't have been an issue. I know 38' is big but we don't have room for 1 vehicle to park. The guy next to us couldn't believe we got backed in. If I had it to do over again I would definitely go somewhere else. One of the maintenance people told us he wouldn't recommend leaving our dog in the camper because they have been having power issues. We would board her while we're out but we didn't bring shot records. Never had to worry about it before. Luckily the weather has cooled down so that won't be an issue. Overall I couldn't recommend this place. There are several places a lot nicer for the same price. We'll know next time.

Well we decided to relocate to Outdoor Resorts just down the road. OMG what a difference! Paved roads, concrete patio, security gate, very nice folks. Rode us around in the golf cart til we found a good spot. For 5 bucks more per day. I will never ever return to Adventure Bound Crazy Horse whatever the heck it is. Staff is overwhelmed with problems, electrical, plumbing. Something failed everyday we were there. We talked to several unhappy campers. When they told us they were digging up the sewer right in front of our trailer we decided we had seen enough. Cable was still out when we left. And I can't help but mention the manager and her attitude. We had already been warned and she just backed it up. Wow.! Lesson learned! They did give us a full refund which actually surprised me but I think we deserved it.
