Our lab Nugget had to have a mast cell tumor removed on 7/2 and came home on 7/3. Waiting to hear what grade it was. Surgeon said that the surgery went fine and will find out early next week about the tumor.

Poor Nugget! That is one large incision! I will hope for fast healing and good news from the biopsy.

Large incision, but appropriate for mast cell tumors. It is necessary to take all surrounding tissue to try to get clear margins.

Good wishes for speedy healing.

Looks like a big boo-boo, but if they got all the bad stuff, dogs heal faster than humans and he should be feeling better soon.

The dog of our good friend had that surgery a year ago. The tumor looked like a pencil eraser to me, I'm not sure I would've found it. Anyway, like your pooch, this little guy had an incision that seemed huge, but the good news is that his follow-ups have been clean. Hoping for a good result for your pooch, too.
