I have the Surveyor Sport 189. It is a 8 ft wide camper and fits a regular 60x80 queen mattress. The stock mattress wasn't worth sleeping on. We replaced it last weekend. You have about 9in of height to fit something in there.

I like the looks of the Surveyor. It might work with the mattress upgrade as mentioned. The Laredo and Spree are a bit too long. Among those still under consideration are the Lance 1885, the Viewfinder V-19FK and the Rockwood 2304S. Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

I was initially looking at FunFinder's and then when I actually went inside the ceiling height was too low for my liking and I am just over 6'.
I had to cross off a couple good picks because of the ceiling height.

We're picking up our new Chalet Takena 1865ex on Friday (queen bed, dinette in slide). The Takena line has other layouts you might like. The ceiling height is 6'3". Check out Chalet Takena.

Good luck!

Thanks, hausfrau, for the suggestion. Very interesting. Didn't know Chalet made standard TTs. The Takena 2265 is close to the floor plan we're looking for. Please let me know how your experience with the 1865 works out.

We have this one and we really like it, the FBS21. We've had the Sunny for a year and a half, no problems. http://www.sunnybrookrv.com/Series/HarmonyPROOF/Floorplans.aspx

Lance Trailers have several models, 1575/1685 both with slides/queen bed/dry bath and well built, all season trailers. Fiberglass you have Escape Trailers of Canada with a queen bed, no slide, all season.

This is a really nice trailer. We are think about down sizing as well. We really like what this model offers for space. It's a really good price too.
